The importance of password protection cannot be overstated. 聽The password is the key to potentially all the data in the system, and is the primary defense against unauthorized viewing or tampering. 聽Any possessor of your password can do anything in the system that you can do, an you will be held responsible. Various system functions may require additional levels of passwords, which should be safeguarded in the same manner.
In additional to the protection of passwords, all system users agree to provide the proper protection for information to which they have access. 聽The Family Right to Privacy Act, other laws, and University Policy limit the extent to which personal information may be divulged. 聽Users must guard against unauthorized viewing of computer screens, unnecessary paper copies of data, unnecessarily public discussions of personal information, and other potential sources of information compromise.
