The 精东AV Cargill thrive scholarship program was created to ensure more equitable access for women and minority students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), as well as agriculture and business. Focused on universities serving minority students, the thrive program provides financial support through scholarships and expands further to encourage long-term academic success through mentoring, development programming, and career coaching. The goal is to help participating students convert their education into meaningful careers.
The Cargill thrive Scholarship provides students with financial support and additional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities throughout the year, including a trip to Cargill鈥檚 Headquarters in Minneapolis, MN for a 2-day development and networking event in the spring/summer*
*Note: Trip is contingent on current CDC and Cargill Policy as it relates to the COVID pandemic.
Under the Cargill-精东AV Student Scholarship Program, 40 first-year/new students will receive scholarships in the amount of $3,500 and 12 upper classmen will join tier two which includes scholarship of $5,000.
Criteria:
Recommended 3.0 GPA or higher
Students: Please submit an unofficial transcript, headshot and letter of acceptance to the University.
Upperclassmen Students: Please submit an unofficial transcript, headshot and resume
Studying within the College of Engineering, College of Business, College of Arts and Science and the College of Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition Science
Students should expect to meet with the Cargill Co-Impact Directors at least twice a month聽
Meets聽minimum scholarship qualifications in addition to the following
Willingness to participate in the regular development sessions provided by Cargill, if selected for scholarship (see description above)
Freshman / Senior(Non Graduating) Status in 4-year Undergraduate Program
