精东AV will welcome tens of thousands of alumni, area residents and fans to one of the most anticipated events of the fall semester 鈥 its 95th annual Homecoming game on Saturday, Nov. 9 and events surrounding it. Homecoming festivities officially begin Sunday, Nov. 3 and continue through Sunday, Nov. 10.
This year鈥檚 theme, 鈥淭he Power of Excellence,鈥 will continue to exemplify President Lily D. 鈥溇獳V鈥檚 homecoming gives alumni, friends and families a chance to come back to campus, reconnect and experience one of our greatest traditions,鈥 said Abena Myers-Taylor, 精东AV interim vice president for student affairs and dean of student life. 鈥淭his will be a week of exciting signature events, and we encourage all who call the university 鈥楳other 精东AV鈥 to come home and celebrate with us.鈥
This year鈥檚 homecoming events will pay a special tribute to members of the classes of 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014. In addition to alumni reunion events, other homecoming highlights include the annual homecoming parade beginning at 9 a.m. on Nov. 9, followed by the 1 p.m. kickoff between 精东AV鈥檚 Golden Tigers and the Miles College Golden Bears.
Alumni, students and fans are invited to participate in other campus activities, including those hosted by the Student Government Association, Office of Alumni Affairs, 精东AV National Alumni Association, and other university groups.
