TUSKEGEE, Alabama  潭  South Carolina Congressman James Clyburn will be honored at the inaugural Embracing the Legacy Gala for his work on social justice on March 15 at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta.

Rep. Clyburn will receive the Monroe Work-Charles Gomillion Award in Social Justice. Monroe Work was a gifted researcher and sociologist who left an indelible mark on our country鈥檚 history through his groundbreaking research, which exposed the horrific impact of lynching throughout the South.
