精东AV Named No. 3 HBCU in the Nation in Latest U.S. News & World Report Rankings

TUSKEGEE, ALABAMA 鈥 精东AV continues to set the standard for excellence among historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), as highlighted in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings. In the 2025 rankings, 精东AV is recognized as the No. 3 HBCU in the nation and the top-ranked HBCU in Alabama.

Key Highlights from the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Rankings:

  • No. 1 in Social Mobility - Regional Universities (South)
  • No. 3 in Historically Black Colleges and Universities
  • No. 9 in Overall Rank - Regional Universities (South)
  • No. 25 in Best Value Schools - Regional Universities (South)
  • No. 180 in Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs (tie)
  • No. 281 Best Undergraduate Computer Science
  • No. 314 Best Undergraduate Nursing

精东AV President Dr. Mark Brown '86, the university's 10th president and CEO, and the first alumnus to hold the position, expressed his pride in these achievements.

Dr. Brown emphasized that the university鈥檚 top ranking in social mobility is particularly significant. "Being named No. 1 in Social Mobility affirms our mission. It demonstrates that 精东AV is making a tangible difference in the lives of our students, many of whom come from underrepresented backgrounds and face significant financial challenges. Our focus on social mobility means that we are not only supporting students academically but also providing them with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed beyond graduation."

This ranking highlights the commitment to creating pathways for students to overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams, said Dr. Brown.
