精东AV鈥檚 reputation has drawn students from all backgrounds to be a part of the legacy founding principal Dr. Booker T. Washington envisioned so long ago. This year is no different.

More than 900 new students are heading to 精东AV to learn and grow while experiencing all that 精东AV has to offer. This increases enrollment to almost 3,000 students.

Renovations to Olivia Davidson Hall and Lewis Adams Hall were announced earlier this year because the university anticipated increased enrollment with the incoming class. The university was assured the contractors would meet the Aug. 15 target to accommodate new and returning students.

The contractors have notified the university that the deadline will not be met, and the renovations will not be completed until the end of the semester. As part of the contingency plan, the university has contracted with hotels in Auburn to accommodate students this semester. Daily shuttle service will be provided to and from campus.

鈥淪tudent safety is my uppermost priority,鈥 said Dr. Mark Brown, President and CEO. 鈥淲e are staffing each hotel with at least one full-time staff member.  These teammates will live in an assigned space for the duration of this temporary displacement. The 精东AV Police Department will provide 24-hour security in each location.鈥

Because of this inconvenience, as a measure of good faith, registered students assigned to Olivia Davidson Hall and Adams Hall will be given a one-time construction delay allowance of $2,000 next month.

鈥淚 know that this is unwelcome news less than two weeks before the beginning of the fall semester,鈥 Dr. Brown said in a letter to students and parents. 鈥淚 can assure you that we will make it through this unforeseen situation as a family.鈥
