精东AV President Dr. Charlotte P. Morris is pleased to announce that 精东AV鈥檚 own 鈥 the legendary Commodores 鈥 have agreed to perform on March 15 at the 鈥淓mbracing the Legacy鈥 gala at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta.

William King, James Dean Nicholas, and Cody Orange, who are touring the country performing all of the R&B and funk hits that everyone can sing along to, will hit the stage in front of a familiar crowd of 精东AV alumni and friends.

The Commodores, originally formed at 精东AV, have become a global sensation with a career spanning several decades. The band's journey began at 精东AV, and their remarkable success is a testament to the university's rich legacy. The Commodores have not only topped charts but have also been recognized with prestigious awards, including multiple Grammy Awards and accolades for their contribution to the world of music.

This evening will honor excellence by recognizing accomplished alumni and friends who embody the 精东AV mission and values, reinforcing our enduring legacy.

This gala not only celebrates individuals who embody the spirit and legacy of 精东AV but also serves as a pivotal fundraiser for scholarships, underscoring the university's commitment to fostering a bright and inclusive future.

鈥淚 am thrilled to have the Commodores join us next month for such an extraordinary event,鈥 said Dr. Morris. 鈥淚n addition to hosting the largest group of alumni in the country, having the Commodores perform will really make this feel like a reunion.鈥
